Thank you for your interest in Community Connect. Click or tap on the headigs below for more info.

If you have any questions, ask a member of staff at a Lakes & Dales or Scotmid Co-op or reach out to us.

What is the Community Connect Award?

Community Connect gives Scotmid members, living in the Lakes and Dales area, the opportunity to make a difference in their communities.

Three Good Cause Groups each representing the Lakes and Dales area (Cumbria, Weardale, and Northumberland) have been shortlisted to receive a Community Connect grant. EVP are representing Cumbria.

Scotmid members living in the Lakes and Dales area can vote for their favourite group to make a difference in their community. Voting closes 24th September 2023.

Every time a member makes a purchase in store and scans their card, they receive a community connect vote. Votes are counted and the winner receives a financial award of £5,000 and the two runner-ups each receive £2,000.

For more information on the scheme, see the Lakes & Dales Co-op website.

How to vote for EVP?

You can allocate your votes  to EVP at any time right up until the closing date – simply scan your card at a manned till and tell the staff member who you would like to vote for.  This is confirmed on your till receipt.

Why vote for EVP?

EVP will receive either £2,000 or £5,000 from Lakes & Dales Co-Op. This money allows us to kick start projects like EVP Juniors and keep ticket fees at low prices and accessible to the community.
